B. Decreases

Why: Because the longer the wavelength the lower the frquency. The shorter the wavelength the higher the frequency.

Answer: decreases

The speed
v of a wave is given by the following formula:

v=f.\lambda (1)

Where:

f the frequency of the wave

\lambda the wavelength

But, we want to know its wavelength, hence we have to rewrite equation (1):

\lambda=(v)/(f) (2)

If we are told the wave is passing through a uniform medium, this means its velocity is constant in this medium.

So, keeping this in mind, from (2) we are able to know that
\lambda is inversely proportional to
f.

What does this mean?

If
f increases
\lambda decreases

and

If
f decreases
\lambda increases

Therefore the correct option is b:

As the frequency of this wave increases, its wavelength decreases.
