First, you could find the area of the square.

Formula: (Width*Length)

Since all sides of a square are the same, we just do 14*14 which equals 196

Next, you find the area of the circle.

Formula: (sorry the order is weird)


r^(2) \pi

So the diameter is 14, to find the radius of the circle, we divide by 2 which is 7.

so we get 49pi.

Now to find the left over area, we SUBTRACT.

Square area = 196

Circle area = 49pi

196-49pi=42.14
