For this case we have that by definition, the area of a rectangular prism is given by:

A_ {t} = A_ {l} + 2A_ {b}

Where:

A_(l): Is the lateral area

A_ {b}:It is the area of the base

A_ {l} = P_ {b} * h

Where:

P_ {b} It is the perimeter of the base

h: It's the height

P_ {b} = (2 + 3 + 2 + 3) \ feet\\P_ {b} = 10 \ feet\\A_ {l} = 10 * 12\\A_ {l} = 120 \ feet ^ 2

On the other hand:

A_ {b} = 2 * 3\\A_ {b} = 6 \ feet ^ 2

Finally:

A_ {t} = 120 \ feet ^ 2 + 2 * 6 \ feet ^ 2\\A_ {t} = 132 \ feet ^ 2

ANswer:
A_ {t} = 132 \ feet ^ 2
