Answer:

Explanation:

I don't know if we are supposed to use the numbers from the previous problem. If not, then what ever number you choose will be 7 times the size of the protein. So let's assume that the givens follow question 2.

The amount of protein = x

The amount of carbs = (700/100)*x

proteins + carbs = 100%

x + 7x = 100 Combine the left

8x = 100 Divide by 8

8x/8 = 100/8

x = 12.5

Protein = 12.5 carbs

Carbs = 7*12.5 = 87.5 grams

So both cereals contain 12.5 grams of proteins and 87.5 grams of carbs.

Answer:

Tasty Oats: 84 g carbohydrate in 100 g of cereal

Cornbits: 35 g of carbohydrate in 45 g of cereal

Explanation:

The introduction to this problem set tells us ...

Tasty Oats have 12 g of protein in 100 g of cereal

Cornbits have 5 g of protein in 45 g of cereal

___

Then 700% of these amounts will be ...

Tasty Oats:

carbohydrates = 700% × 12 g = 84 g . . . . in 100 g of cereal

CornBits:

carbohydrates = 700% × 5 g = 35 g . . . . . in 45 g of cereal

_____

Of course, 700% = 700/100 = 7, so multiplication by 700% is multiplication by 7.
