In a school 30% of year 10 students are boys. Of these 25% chose to take PE GCSE. Given there are 240 students in year 10 how many boys chose PE GCSE?

So there are 240 students in the class

And if 30% are boys that means


(30)/(100) * 240 = 72

so out of the 72 boys if 25% take it


72 * (25)/(100) = (72)/(4) = 18

Ans: 18 boys take PE GCSE
