Answer:

- you could use a calculator

- If you do not have a calculator you could do a factor tree

- When a number is perfect square then the number that is x^2 is the square root

Explanation:

When doing a factor tree you have to remember that it only works when you have a perfect square as a factor.

ex 1. square root of 180

now you find the biggest number that is a perfect square (ex. 4,9,16,25,36,49,64,81,100...)

36 is the biggest perfect square that goes into 180

180 / 36 = 5

now the 36 is actually √36 so you have to square root it

square root of 36 is 6 so the new number is

6√5

ex 2. square root of 121

If it is a perfect square like 121 then you can find the new number

11 × 11 = 121

therefore the square root of 121 is 11

Hope this helps

Answer:

\boxed{\bold{Multiply \ A \ Number \ By \ Itself}}

Step By- Step Explanation:

Square Root: The result of a number multiplied by itself

Note: A square root is not the same as an exponent. They are similar, but not the same.

The way to find a square root is to take the main number, then find out what exactly half of that number is

Eg:
\bold{√(49) }

Half of 49 is 7, so the square root of 49 is 7.

Check:

7 · 7 = 49

The second number (7) was able to be multiplied by itself, and that resulted in the number 49. Therefor, 7 is the square root if 49.
