The role of insulin as it relates to body fat storage is that the pancreas releases insulin which informs the fat cells to absorb sugar or glucose. The cells in the body use the energy from the sugars stored in the body’s fat. So insulins role is to tell the fat cells to absorb sugar which will allow the body to use the fat as a form of energy.

Answer:

Insulin inhibits the breakdown of fat cells and stimulates the creation of body fat.

Step-by-step explanation:

Insulin directs muscle and fat cells to take in glucose. Cells will either take in this glucose to obtain energy from it or convert the glucose to fat for long-term storage.
