Answer:

The Given angle is -230° i.e negative 230°

Therefore lies in the second quadrant which is between -180° to -270°

Explanation:

For angle to move in ANTICLOCK WISE ( positive angles):

In anticlockwise the terminal side of the angle is moving from first quadrant to second quadrant then to third quadrant then to fourth quadrant and so on.

Quadrant I = 0 to 90°

Quadrant II = 90° to 180°

Quadrant III = 180° to 270°

Quadrant IV = 270° to 360°

For angle to move in CLOCK WISE ( negative angles):

Here, the negative sign tells us we're moving in a clockwise direction, so from the positive x-axis, down into fourth quadrant then to third quadrant then to second quadrant then to first quadrant and so on.

Quadrant IV = 0 to -90°

Quadrant III = -90° to -180°

Quadrant II = -180° to -270°

Quadrant I = -270° to -360°

The Given angle is -230° i.e negative 230°

Therefore lies in second quadrant which is between -180° to -270°
