f(x) and y are the same so I will take f(x) as "y"

1)3x-7/2=y

3y-7/2=x

solve/isolate "y" in 3y-7/2=x to get the value of "y"

3y-7/2=x

add "7/2" to both sides

3y-7/2+7/2=x+7/2

3y=x+7/2

divide both sides by "3"

3y/3=x/3+7/2/3

simplify:

y=2x+7/6
