Answer:

0.8 kg

Explanation:

3/5=0.6

1/2=0.5

so basically when there was 0.6 amount of water, the mass of the container was 3.8 kg when the amount of water reduced to 0.5, the mass dropped to 3.3kg

the drop in mass was 0.5kg per 0.1 drop in water

so

3.3-0.5=2.8

0.5-0.1=0.4

2.8 kg=0.4 water

2.8-0.5=2.3kg

0.4-0.1=0.3 amount of water

2.3-0.5=1.8kg

0.3-0.1=0.2 amount of water

1.8-0.5=1.3 kg

0.2-0.1=0.1 amount of water

1.3-0.5=0.8 kg

0.1-0.1=0 amount of water

the mass of the empty container is 0.8 kg

hope this helps!

If 3/5 has 3.8kg

1/2 has 3.3kg

You find a common denominator:

6/10 and 5/10

The diference is 1/10, for every 1/10 of the container, it goes up by .5kg

At 5/10, the mass inside equals= 2.5kg

Subtract from 3.3kg=

0.8kg is the answer

Hope you get it!
