Find the area of a regular hexagon with an opus him 10.4 yards long and side 12 yards long round your answer to the nearest 10th

Area of hexagon = 374.4 yards ^ 2

Explanation:

Given:

apothem a = 10.4 yards

length of side l = 12 yards

Area of hexagon = 1/2 (P) (a)

where P= perimeter and a = apothem

Perimeter = no of sides * length of side

as hexagon has 6 sides so,

Perimeter = 6 * 12

= 72

Area of hexagon = 1/2 * (72) * 10.4

= 374.4 yards ^ 2
