  • When a rolling a 5, the probability is 1/6. A 5 occurs once on the dice out of 6 total numbers.
  • The probability of rolling an odd number or a five is the probability of an odd number added to the probability of rolling a 5. 3/6 + 1/6 = 4/6 = 2/3
  • The probability of rolling an odd number AND a five is the probability of an odd number multiplied by the probability of rolling a 5. 3/6 (1/6) = 3/36 = 1/12.
