Answer: Yes, the Prophet Moses peace be upon spoke with our Lord and Creator on Mt Sinai and he asked our Lord glory be his name how would he be able to bring Beni-Israel out of bondage, due to the corrupt leaders of the Pharos. Although he was in Awe when he spoke and met with GOD and even took off his slippers as a sign of respect, you would think he became confident, but he questioned how he would penetrate the pharoses. At that time he did not realize that God will be with him and help him so his confidence was not as much as it should have been because as a Prophet, he is humble and pious and did not think he could free the people of Israel from Pharos Tyranny.

Explanation: I believe that it was false, he did not become more confident at that moment. God bless his soul!
