The way to get the ratio is --> changed/original.

So basically we're dividing 2 1/2 by 6 2/3.

This gives us 3/8.

So the ratio is 3/8

Side note : I noticed you were using Pearson, if you go to the drop down menu, there is a feature called "show an example" that is very helpful if you want to understand the concepts.
