ACB is a straight angle, hence

∠ACD + ∠DCB = 180° ← substitute values

2x + 8 + x - 2 = 180

3x + 6 = 180 ( subtract 6 from both sides )

3x = 174 ( divide both sides by 3 )

x = 58, hence

∠ACD = 2x + 8 = (2 × 58) + 8 = 116 + 8 = 124°
