The translation rule is


(x,y)\to (x-2,y-16)

To find the image of P, which is P', we have to substitute the coordinates of P(-2,6) to obtain;


P(-2,6)\to P'(-2-2,6-16)


P(-2,6)\to P'(-4,-10)

Hence the y-value of P' is -10.
