Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna was a Mexican politician and general. He was also the president of Mexico. In 1863 Santa Anna took command over the Mexican army and he and his forces successfully defeated the Texas rebels at the Alamo. This was known as the Battle of Goliad. So long story short, yes; the Mexican Army was led by Santa Anna. I sure hope this helps! :)
