The perimeter would also be multiplied by 5. Currently the sides are 5, 10 and 13. The perimeter would be the sum of the side lengths or 5 + 10 + 13 = 28 ft.

Multiply each side length so 5*5 = 25, 10*5 = 50 and 13*5 = 65. Find the perimeter by finding their sum, 25 + 50 + 65 = 140.

Divide the new perimeter by the old perimeter to find a scale factor.

140/28 = 5.

The new perimeter is exactly 5 times bigger since 5*28 = 140.
