(Need help ASAP!) Select the equation that most accurately depicts the word problem.

Two sides of a triangle are equal in length and double the length of the shortest side. The perimeter of the triangle is 36 inches.

A) x + x + 2x = 36
B) x + 2x + 2x = 36
C) 2x + 2x + 2x = 36
D) x + 2x^2 = 36

The answer is B because you have two equal sides which are double the length of the shortest side, therefore 2x is the length of the two equal sides, and x is the shortest length, or B
