Well, you know if there's the same x value for two different points, you have a vertical line. The slope of a vertical line is undefined, but your formula looks like x=-5.

Answer:

slope is undefined

Explanation:

Calculate the slope m using the slope formula

m =
(y_(2)-y_(1)  )/(x_(2)-x_(1)  )

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (-5, 9) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (- 5, 6)

m =
(6-9)/(-5+5) =
(-3)/(0)

Division by zero is undefined, hence

The slope of the line is undefined
