Explanation:

By inspection, we know
x=-2 is a root.

We can thus rewrite the equation as

$(x+2)\left((x^3 + 9x^2 + 26x+24)/(x+2) \right)=0\\\\(x+2)(x^2 + 7x+12)=0\\\\(x+2)(x+3)(x+4)=0\\\\x=-4, -3, -2$
