Please help tommy go figure he is trying to add fractions and here is what he did 3/10 + 4/5 =7/15.

his teacher say that his answer is wrong In detail, explain to tommy what he did wrong​

What you are supposed to do is find the least common denominator (LCD) of the two fractions. Of 3/10 and 4/5, the LCD is 10. 3/10 + 8/10 (8/10 is the same as 4/5) = 11/10 or 1 1/10
