If the equation y = x + 4 is changed to y = x - 2, how will the graph of the equation change?

It will go 6 it the right. If you have y= (x+4) the transformation is on the inside which is the left and right movement. + go left - go right So if you went from y=(x-4) to y=(x-2) it moves 6 to the right.

Answer: the original graph will shift 2 units down
