Leonardo Fibonacci was an Italian mathematician who lived from 1170 - 1250 AD. In 1202 AD, at the age of 32 he asked how many pairs of rabbits will there be at the end of a year from one single pair of male and female rabbit. He discovered that rabbits multiplied at a reliable or predictable rate using a sequence of numbers now known as the Fibonacci sequence. Each number in the sequence represents the total number of rabbits at any time.

The sequence is 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, ...

The sequence can predict many populations and is used in urban development. It is also a sequence widely connected to the Golden Ratio. It has many applications.
