If the cross–sectional area of a wire is decreased while all other factors remain the same, how will the resistance change? It will increase. It will decrease. It will go to zero. The cross–sectional area does not affect the resistance.

It will increase resistiance as there is a smaller space for the electricity to travel through

Answer:

It will increase.

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know that resistance of a wire is given as

R = \rho(L)/(A)

so here we know that

\rho = resistivity

L = length of container

A = crossectional area

So here we can say since the resistance is inversely depends on the crossectional area then the resistance will increase on decreasing the area of the wire.

so correct answer is

It will increase.
