1) Pulmonary Ventilation

Movement of air in and out of the lungs passage (Thorax and Diaphragm).

2) External Respiration

Exchange of gases between air and blood at pulmonary capillaries (Alveoli).

3) Transport of gases through blood vessels

O2 and CO2 carried in blood associated with RBC's.

4) Internal Respiration

Exchange of gasses between blood and body cells at systemic capillaries. O2 out of the blood, CO2 into the blood.

5) Cellular Respiration

Breakdown of molecules at mitochondria within cells to form ATP, this uses up oxygen and produces CO2 as a by-product.

Answer:

(1) Air enters the nostrils.

(2) Air passes through the trachea to the bronchi.

(3) Air diffuses from the alveoli to the blood cells.

(4) Oxygen enters the blood cells.

(5) Blood transport oxygen to other cells.

Step-by-step explanation:

The steps of respiration process are:

(1) Breathing or air inhale and exhale also called pulmonary ventilation.

(2) External respiration: external respiration exchanges gas between the lungs and the blood stream. Oxygen is exchanged for carbon dioxide waste to the process called external respiration.

(3) Internal respiration: In this process gases are exchanged between the blood stream and body tissues.

(4) Cellular respiration: It is a process in which sugar breakdown into a form that the cell can use as energy.
