Answer: 11.6

Explanation:

We know that a radius that is perpendicular to a chord divides the chord into two equal parts .

Then by Pythagoras theorem of right triangle ,we have


(6.5)^2=3^2+((x)/(2))^2\\\\\Rightarrow\ 42.25=9+(x^2)/(4)\\\\\Rightarrow\ (x^2)/(4)=33.25\\\\\Rightarrow\ x^2=134\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=√(134)=11.5758369028\approx11.6

Hence,the value of x = 11.6
