You have to multiply each ratio part by x to get them properly set up to add to 90.

3x + 4x + 5x = 90 Combine the left side

12x = 90 Divide by 12

12x/12 =90/12 Do the division

x = 7.5

3x = 3*7.5 = 22.5

4x = 4*7.5 = 30

5x = 5*7.5 = 37.5

Total 90
