A person walks 8blocks east, then 4 blocks north, 12 blocks west and 4 blocks south, at this point how many blocks from her start point?

Answer:

4 Blocks.

Explanation:

You start out going 8 east so that's 4.

Then you got 4 north as well so that's 12 because 8 + 4 = 12

then they walk 12 blocks west. Now they are in the position of 4 North and 4 West.

Next they go 4 blocks south. Since they went for blocks North first and now they go 4 blocks south and they are already on the fourth block to the west.

When they are at 4 North and 4 South the just travel to the original position but 4 blocks to the west.

Sorry if you don't understand the explanation. It's kinda difficult to explain.
