1.1 Pull out like factors :

-8x - 2 = -2 • (4x + 1)

2.1 Divide both sides by -2

Remember to flip the inequality sign:

2.2 Divide both sides by 4

x+(1/4) ≥ 0

Solve Basic Inequality :

2.3 Subtract 1/4 from both sides

x ≥ -1/4

Answer:

The answer is D.

Explanation:

Divide both sides by -8 to get x by itself.

-8x ≤ 2

-8x/-8 = x

2/-8 = -0.25

What you're left with is x ≤ -.25

Since you divided you have to switch the signs.

x ≥ -.25
