total dist. driven = dist. Meg drove + dist. Tanner drove

Meg = 112

Tanner = x or how far did Tanner drive?


(112)/(x) =
(4)/(3)


(3)/(4) * 112 = x

84 =x so Tanner drove 84 miles

total driven = 112 + 84

total driven = 196 :)
