Ok so the square root of 64 is both positive and negative 8 because :

8^2= 64 but at the same time:

(-8)^2=64 because - to the power of two becomes positive so it has two answers because both 8 and -8 to the power of 2 is 64

Answer:

Because when you square 8 or -8, you will still end up at 64
