Two factors that helped the US shift to an industrial economy during the Gilded Age included the Transcontinental Railroad and the Bessemer process. The Industrial Revolution helped the economy to shift towards the Gilded Age, basically the the growth of industrialism. Another factor you can state is the assembly line system they used in factories which made the production faster, known as the factory system.
