The zones given to us are all of the ocean zones, which can be ordered the following way:

  1. Epipelagic zone = sunlight zone
  2. Mesopelagic zone = twilight zone
  3. Bathypelagic zone = midnight zone
  4. Abyssopelagic zone - abyss / abyss zone

So, as we can see, the epipelagic zone is the one that is closest to the surface. The epipelagic zone ranges from 0m to 200m below surface. This also depends on the water clarity (which influences visibility).
