If I have the full price of an item, & the discounted price of the same item, how do I find the discount percentage?

Answer:

Subtract the discount price from the full price. Divide the amount of change by the original price.

Explanation:

Example: Original price = $40 Sale price = $30

$40-$30= 10

10/40= 1/4

1/4 = .25 or 25%
