Isn't it 4x^2 - 3x - 10 = (4x + 5)(x - 2) ?

Answer:

f(x)-g(x)= 4x²-3x-10

Explanation:

(6x²-9x-17) - (2x²-6x-7)

use distributive property

6x²-9x-17-2x²+6x+7

combine like terms

4x²-3x-10
