Let

x-----> the number of passenger cars

y-----> the number of trucks

we know that


x=y+150 ----> equation A


(x)/(y)=(9)/(7)


x=(9)/(7)y -----> equation B

equate equation A and equation B


(9)/(7)y=y+150


(9)/(7)y-y=150


(2)/(7)y=150


y=525

Find the value of x


x=525+150=675
