Answer:

B. 60.5

Explanation:

You have 2 main shapes, a trapezoid and a triangle.

Extend the left leg of the triangle all the way up.

How we have a trapezoid with bases of 14 and 10, with a height of 3. The are of the trapezoid is

A = (1/2)(sum of bases)(height) so we have

A = (1/2)(10 + 14)(3)

A = (1/2)(24)(3)

A = 36

We are told the triangle is a 45°-45°-90°, so the legs are equal, that makes the area

A = (1/2)(7)(7) = 49/2 = 24.5

The total area is 36 + 24.5 = 60.5 units²
