The graph of the parent function f(x) = x3 is translated to form the graph of g(x) = (x − 4)3 − 7. The point (0, 0) on the graph of f(x) corresponds to which point on the graph of g(x)?

(4, −7)
(−4, −7)

Answer: (4,-7)

Explanation:

when f(x) =
x^3 the vertex is (0,0). when g(x)=
(x-4)^3-7 the vertex will be (4,-7). The equation is put into vertex form, in order for us to find the vertex (h,k), followed by
y=a(x-h)^3+k. With h=4 and k=-7.

Therefore, the answer is (4,-7)
