Samantha goes into a candy store with $6.00. She buys 9 peppermints for $0.25 each, and some sour candies. Each sour candy costs $0.35. Enter the maximum number of sour candies Samantha can buy .

$0.25 x 9 = $2.25
$6-$2.25 = $3.75
$0.35x10 cost $3.5
So Samantha can only buy 10 candies at Maximum
If there any promotion I don’t know :3

Answer:

She can only buy 10 sour candies.

Steps:

1) Multiply:

.25 • 9 = 2.25

2) Subtract:

6 - 2.25 = 3.75

3) divide:

3.75 divided by .30 = 10.7

4) Because she only has $3.75 left you cannot round up. So, instead of it being 11, the answer is 10.
