Explanation:

The linear ratio = 10 : 30 = 1 : 3

The volume ratio = 1³ : 3³ = 1 : 27

Thus the volume of the larger box is 27 times larger than the volume of the smaller box

volume = 500 × 27 = 13500 cm³

You can deduct that the height of the first box is 5cm. Since the next box is 3x the size, that means it’s height is 15. So 30*30*15= 13500.

Your answer is 13500 cm^3
