The equation of 2 straight lines that are parallel to each other are defined 4x + py =5 and 2x - 5y -6=0. calculate for p.

Answer:

-10

Explanation:

4x+py=5

Is also 2x+(p/2)y=5/2

And the other is 2x-5y+6=0

As the lines are parallel

2/2=(p/2)/(-5)

p= -10
