we have to find the side b of triangle ABC

By cosine law,


\cos B=(a^2+c^2-b^2)/(2ac)


\cos 24^(\circ)=(12^2+10^2-b^2)/(2(12)(10))=(144+100-b^2)/(240)


b^2=244-240\cos 24^(\circ)=24.7490901658
