There are only red, blue, and green counters in a bag.

There are 6 red counters
There are 4 blue counters
There are 8 green counters
Matt takes a counter at random from the bag.
a) what is the probability that the counter is red? Give your answer as a fraction.
b) What is the probability that the counter is not blue? Give your answer as a fraction.

a: 6/18, or 1/3 (there are 18 marbles total, and 6 are red.)

b: 14/18, or 7/9 (There are 14 marbles that are not blue.)
