The area of a square is 100cm what is the perimeter?

The 4 sides of a square are the same length. Find the length of a side by taking the square root of the area.

Side = sqrt(100) = 10 cm

Perimeter = side length x 4

Perimeter = 10 x 4 = 40 cm
