Ok so first find the area on the triangle where is gives the length and width and the formula for the area of a triangle is Length x widthsx 0.5 so 5.2x8x0.5=20.8 square inches . Then to find the area of the other triangle you have to use Pythagorean’s theorem to find the length because we know the hypotenuse is 6.8 and the width is the same as the other side so width is 5.2 the we will do a^2=c^2-b^2 so a^2=6.8^2-5.2^2 a^2=46.24-27.04 a^2= 19.2 and the square root of 19.2= 4.38 so find the area of that triangle 5.2x4.38x0.5=11.4 square inches then add the two areas together to get 32.2 square inches
