Explanation:

What you do is you have to make sure that 1 and 2 are both real numbers, then you substitute the 7 for the first equations and the 14 from the second equation, and put the 2 there instead. Because you used the Y as the 7 in the first equation you can get rid of the Y in the equation and get X = 2, and you just check to make sure that 2 is included in the ( ). You are welcome :)
