Sum the 3 given angles and equate to 180, that is

5 + 3x + 70 + 75 = 180

3x + 150 = 180 ( subtract 150 from both sides )

3x = 30 ( divide both sides by 3 )

x = 10

The sum of all angles in a triangle is equal to 180.

75 + 70 + 5 + 3x = 180

150 + 3x = 180

3x = 180 - 150

3x = 30

x = 10

Third angle:

5 + 3(10)

35
