Explanation:

(9 x 10^5) (3 x10^10)

Multiply 9 by 3

9 x 3 = 27

Add the exponents

10^5 + 10^10

Results in

27 x 10^15

However that isn't an answer choice. But 2.7 x 10^16 is the same as 27 x 10^15
