There were 160 hours of sunshine in May.The sunshine hours increased to 180 in June.

Find the percentage of hours increased ?

Subtract May from June to find the difference:

180 - 160 = 20 hours.

Divide the difference by the hours in May:

20 / 160 = 0.125

Multiply by 100:

0.125 x 100 = 12.5% increase.
